Winter weather travel UNIFORM - a uniform? yes!

The more I travel, the more I am trying to simplify what I pack. During the winter, my suitcase gets bigger and heavier -  and I still struggle with a cute outfit that will work as the weather changes throughout the day.

I have talked about a travel 'uniform' before. This concept is especially useful during the winter when extra heavy clothing is essential. The choices are classic, dress-up or dress-down and always in style.

Once you try the uniform approach, you will never go back to you giant over-filled suit case!

Use my list below and you will get by with one small carry-on for one week!

For a one week 

PACK THIS:

1 skinny dark jean

1 slim leg, black pants

1 long white cotton button up shirt

3 Long sleeve t-shirts, one each in black, white and gray

1 pair weatherproof booties

3 pairs of black above the knee socks

1 pair of dress heels in black or pop color

1 tank top for layering

1 LBD, little black dress - choose a heavy stretch fabric to avoid wrinkles

-underwear

-makeup bag, etc

-one statement ring which matches statement scarf mentioned below

-one versatile necklace

WEAR THIS (on the travel days of your trip)

1 thick black tights/leggings

1 pair black above the knee socks

1 long, solid (rear-covering) sweater in black or charcoal

1 scarf in a statement print or POP color

1 long, heavy-lined weatherproof trench

1 pair tall weatherproof boots

1 pair black gloves

1 pair black sunglasses or in POP color
